The Monster Dash
Sheralyn and Mom ran their first 5K race, along with Aunt Stacy, on Halloween day in Ashland. It was named the Monster Dash and costumes were encouraged. Being Ashland, you can imagine the men wearing butterfly wings, etc...therefore it could have been named "Running with Weirdos."
The route began at the bottom of Lithia Park and continued 2 miles uphill to the top of Lithia Park, past the resevoir, then looping back to town.
It was grueling, but finishing the race brought an incredible feeling of accomplishment. (Mom's race number now proudly hangs in my bathroom.)

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! for running with me (actually ahead of me) you both were the motivation that I NEEDED to show up and not quit. ...and yes, it was like running with the weirdos! My number is on my bathroom mirror too! yahoo!
