...Madeline had a slight mishap. It could have used stitches, but we fixed her up with several coats of liquid bandaid and a splint to prevent her from bending her finger until the wound seals.
Once the trauma was over (BIG trauma associated with a finger half cut off), Madeline began adapting to her new appendage. She has figured out how to write her math problems, and she can even play piano by straddling the black keys with her popsicle sticks.
But the double nose scratcher is the most useful adaptaion.
Way to make the most of it Madi!! Who knew homeschool could be such a dangerous undertaking! But hey, way to maximize learning, the way I see it, you got a lesson on viking shipbuilding AND a first aid safety course all in one! Two lessons, One carving knife!
