Christmas vacation 2011 produced many happy memories. Ice skating, indoor soccer, scrumptious Italian cooking, camping, puzzles, talking with Elder Shumway, and lots of laughter.
Christmas day brought provided incredible
laughter!
For 2 years Tanner has BEGGED for a pair of footie pajamas.
(I am not kidding!)

So exactly what does a 6'2" teenager look like in footie pajamas?
When laying down, he sort of resembles gumby.
We decided to go with a themed Christmas, and one by one, the other siblings opened their own pair of footie pajamas.
They are slightly larger than the footie-pajama-babes I used to put in cribs.
But watching them laugh with eachother in their new jamies was the best gift of the year for me!
(Andrea quietly thanked me for NOT giving him a pair of pajamas,....however, a few hours later Andrea was just as EXCITED as Tanner, when he opened a new Flannel Coat from Grandpa Clark!)
This is Andrea's first Flannel Jacket.
(Apparently red-neck flannel styles haven't reached Italy.)
He proudly wore it the next morning to help Grandpa with some farm chores.

The flannel jacket is sure to be the next big thing in Milano! And is that a Dr. Pepper and chocolate bar in his pockets? Perhaps they're the next accessory must-haves. Scarves are so passé and unedible.
ReplyDeleteThe PJ's looked fun! Sheralyn looks genuinely thrilled while Danielle's smile looks as if she's thinking 'these photos better not be posted anywhere or you're dead' in which case Wendy, you're in trouble. But worth it!
Ahhhhh, wasn't Christmas with our families a blast?!! Can I have a nap now?
Tanner looks like "Thing One" from Cat in the Hat!
