So if you read the ad on the left side you notice it says:
"Servicios Funerarios las 24 hrs."
So for those of you who haven't spent enough time living in North America it pretty much translates to "24 hour funeral services."
Hmmmm. What the heck kind of place would need something like that???
Juarez Mexico, that's who.
Well that certainly makes you feel good about going to work!
Despite the fear that these sorts of ads can strike into your heart, Scott has had a largely safe and successful venture down in Juarez and has made many new friends including this cook who remarked how tall Scott seemed to be:
So to keep the locals happy, a very important thing to do in this town, he posed for this picture with the guy.
In the meantime, Scott is getting really great at his spanish. In particualr, he is working really hard at memorizing these handy spanish phrases:
"Put down the gun, I will give you everything in my wallet."
"Don't shoot me in the face please, I am considered to be a very handsome man in my country."
"If your sewing is as good as your aim, I can put you to work at an honest job."
and lastly,
"Please don't harm me, I don't have an international plan with my cell phone carrier and will not be able to call the 24 hour funeral service if things go drastically wrong."
