Charity Faileth

Two months ago, a pair of crutches showed up at our house. The kids thoroughly enjoyed trying to walk with the crutches and they seemed to be the favorite pasttime of not only our kiddos, but any visitors.

However, they soon became a nuisance to Mom! It seemed I was always tossing them into the garage, yet they constantly appeared abandoned in the hallway or kitchen area for me to trip over. After weeks of threatening to get rid of them...I finally followed through and donated them to Goodwill.

That was 3 days ago.

Would you like to see what happened at Tanner's last football game?

He's about to be crushed....but he did manage to put 2 points on the scoreboard before the injury!
(I think he just wanted to be helped off the field by the cute SOU volunteer team trainer.)
Now Tanner NEEDS those crutches we so CHARITABLY gave away!

At this posting Tanner had been on crutches for 4 days. He barely squoze his pudgy foot into his shoe in order to help out at Mitchell's Eagle Scout project.

  1. Oh yes, this is EXACTLY why you never give away crutches or a crib. You're asking for an accident to happen if you do! There are some things you stuff in your attic even if you know you never plan to use them for the rest of your life. It's insurance.
