"CHEEP" THRILLS

After studying birds for 2 weeks, how could we resist those adorable chicks at GrangeCo-op?
We couldn't.
Neither could the teenagers. As soon as we told them the little girls were picking out chicks, their eyes sparkled and they begged, "Can I get one too?"

It was hilarious watching these big teens (some of whom pretend to above such childish distractions)... melt into gentle, carressing nurturers as they coddled and cared for their precious chicks.

A sweet reminder that those big bodies still house the little kiddos I once knew.

Even the cat likes the chicks!

  1. Thanks for offering your Adopt-A-Pet program to my kids as well. They love baby chickens but we are not good long term chicken farmers. Dang things are A LOT of work...unless...you've got a cool Aunt Wendy who'll let us keep all kinds of pets at her house! Like sharing custody without all the crap. Love it!
